WWAWD...I don't know what to do with the 1990 quattro Coupe

Its a Coupe Quattro, a piece of history
Your call, keep it and fix it or sell it and move on. If your dad still wants it and you want a project, then get wrenching.
Cars are always a tough call, the longer you keep them the harder they are to let go. If it was me, I would keep it.

Complex computers and electronics, German engineering, parts availability......?.
parts availability is probably the biggest issue. For the 3,000 Audi sold of these over two years, GM probably sold 5,000 a day with the basic components I'd need....

My 80 is a piece of cake to work on!
I would take working on my 80 over an american car any day. The brake jobs are way more straight forward, IMO. The suspension is way more easy to work on too. I had to do ball joints in my dad's caravan and I ended up dropping half of the subframe in order to get the bolt which holds the control arm on, out of the way of the transmission which happens to fit in the engine bay sideways (. Balljoints on our cars take all of 45 minutes tops, for that stupid dodge it took 2.5 hours! And they had to be pressed into the arms unlike ours which are bolted in! Ok i'm done ranting.
