Furthermore, skimping on mass makes the unit more prone to lateral runout (warping). That's pretty rare in a strong, beefy rotor but I've seen the thin ones go bad pretty much every time. I have no experience whatsoever with the JHM rotors and never even bought anything JHM.
I did a lot of reading before I selected the JHM LW's. Some people complained of the same possibilities (runout, cracking, etc) but many people said they used them at the track with no problems. I don't to plan to track it very much, if at all so for daily driving, should be OK. It's a personal choice in this case, and with 5 lbs less per rotor, that's considerable unsprung weight.

EDIT: sorry it's 2.5 per wheel so 5 lbs total

I have a wiring/pin guide - just thought you may save me having to read and understand the dam thing... lol.

The harness that came with the wheel I bought is the proper one - the seller ordered it specifically. So it's just a matter of knowing which pins to move around and having the proper tool (http://www.uspmotorsports.com/Electr...12-Pieces.html).

Will let you know when I get it working and how I did it.

Basically airbag works and nothing else; no radio volume or station selection, voice command or phone (which I don't currently have set up).

So if I get desperate, Alex does sell the repinned harness separately? I thought they wouldn't sell harnesses unless you bought the whole wheel.
TBH, I saved $800 buying private ($500 lower price, no taxes, duty and shipping was cheaper too). This doesn't include the badge either - $100 (I found a place that sells OEM for $23).

BTW, I'm selling my old wheel. Anyone have an idea how much they're going for?

I've heard anywhere from $400-$600 on Ebay...

Here's one example.

Wow, that much? And that's without airbag. Thanks for the info.
Anyway, it's for sale if anyone is interested - I'll cut a better deal. I guess I should put this in the classified.

Alex sold me a harness without a wheel but I returned it - it didn't work! Must have been a fluke, he's great to work with, I'd buy from him again. I reconfigured my own harness, but sorry I don't remember how I did it.

I sold my old wheel on eBay for around $400 IIRC.

Only the ones that have a chance of being reused. The stock wheel - not a chance!
