Can rear headrests be removed
I am a new member here and been watching post while shopping for a new S4. I was just at the dealer today and checking to see if one of my car seats would fit in the back. I currently use a Recaro child seat in a VW Passat. I removed the rear headrest behind the car seat as it makes the car seat sit back against the rear seat better. However on the 2013 S4 we set the car seat into the rear headrest was not able to be removed.
I suspect there is someway to remove it but don't how. Anyone removed one of their rear seat head rests?
Thanks.

TimS7559,
Welcome to the community Yes you can remove the headrests. Inside your keyfob there is a key, you'll need this to remove the headrest. On one side of the adjustable headrest you'll have a spot for your finger to raise and lower the headrest. On the other side there is a small hole that's for your key. Push your key into that hole once you have the headrest a ways up. (keep pressing the key until you have lifted the headrest out)
This will unlock the headrest and allow you to remove it. Word of caution in order to remove the headrest you'll need to fold the seat down. There just isn't enough clearance to pull the headrest the whole way out.
Hope this helps

Two questions: 1) Location of keyless entry receiver? 2) If under the rear seat; how to remove seat?
