Default Telematics Security/Locking feature inexplicably turned itself on

I purchased a previously owned 2002 Audi A6 4.2L with Telematics by OnStar.

The OnStar Security/Locking feature inexplicably turned itself on recently and requires a four digit code (PIN) to turn it back off. Neither OnStar, Motorola, nor AUDI have been able to help me. All claim not to have access to the Code.

AUDI said sometimes the default is 1234 OR the last four digits of the phone # (which they had me try); neither worked.

Is there a way for me to retrieve the OnStar Security/Locking Code for my vehicle OR is there anyone that worked or is knowledgeable on the 2002 Audi Telematics by OnStar system design that knows how to turn Security OFF!
Can I get on the car’s Controller Area Network (CAN) Diagnostics buss and turn security off?

I am using a BMW BTUM in conjunction with a LG-VX9200 in place of the V60 that originally plugged into the Audi handset cradle.

Also, is it possible to upload my contacts into the car’s memory with the Bluetooth setup I am using; like the Audi branded V60 can do?

Thanks

Did you find out how to fix this problem. I'm having the same thing in my 04 A8.

No, I have not found a fix for the OnStar telematics Security feature inexplicably turned itself on and requires an unknown 4 digit security code to access the system.
In the service manual it shows a (the) telematics control module with a backup battery located under the passenger footwell. If they were 'stupid'enough to have stored the security code and state in RAM verses FLASH memory then removing that backup battery momentarily may reset the security state to off. I am concerned about unintended consequences and have not tried it yet.
