Anyone have any new info that should sway my decision one way or another?
I don't have any new information to share, but I'm having the same thoughts. The 10 year extended warranty has expired now, so the next time this happens it will be on me. It's been 2.5 years since I had the procedure done under this warranty. My 2010 3.2L has 83K miles now. At the moment I'm hardly driving it while working from home, so I'll probably let it ride for now. This phenomenon is likely mileage-based rather than time-based.

Cheers, Scott

Secondary injection built-up is more number of cold starts based not mileage.

It’s been 7 years and almost another 100,000 miles since I had the service done. No hiccups since. I now have 150K on the car.
