Looks like it's been a few years since the last post here! I still have my 2010 3.2, and am getting a bit nervous. Haven't had any issues yet, but now that I'm out of the extended warranty period, I'm thinking it might be a good idea to sell it before I have this inevitable issue and have to drop a couple grand on it. Anyone have any new info that should sway my decision one way or another?

I don't have any new information to share, but I'm having the same thoughts. The 10 year extended warranty has expired now, so the next time this happens it will be on me. It's been 2.5 years since I had the procedure done under this warranty. My 2010 3.2L has 83K miles now. At the moment I'm hardly driving it while working from home, so I'll probably let it ride for now. This phenomenon is likely mileage-based rather than time-based.

Secondary injection built-up is more number of cold starts based not mileage.
