Default $380 Estimate for 35K Maintenance?!?!

Really??? WTH?! I thought it was bad when I paid $180 for my 25K maintenance, but $380 takes it to a whole new level. Do I regret not getting the Audi Care when I had the chance? Yes. Should I have to? HELL NO!!! this is absolute robbery for a glorified oil change. SMH

LOL. You are funny. Let me tell you a funny story. I drove my car off the lot and got a flat. 2nd day I paid out $375 for a tire because the nail was on the side and they were unable to fix the tire. These are expensive cars and maint. will be expensive. Is it robbery, I don't think so.

Funny guy. You buy a 40k car and complain about a $400 maintenance.

I had paid something like $400 for the 48k service on a subaru.. so the Audi doesn't seem that bad.

If the parts were that expensive I would understand, but they're not. The parts don't even come to $100. You don't think for a second they're taking a few liberties with the labor charge? Let's be real here. I know full well what I purchased and I don't need YOU to remind me. I don't care what the car costs. I somehow highly doubt they spend as much time on my car as they claim they do. Perhaps I'm a tad jaded because ALL my recent Audi service experiences have been both cartoonish and nightmarish...

Ouch! The wheel/tire warranty would have definitely helped out in this case.

Take it to an independent, if you have one nearby. Should be about 30% or so less than the dealer.

Doesn't 35K maintenance require what is now called "engine tune-up"? It's basically a glorified spark plug change but even a local mechanic will probably charge you $100+ for just that. Seems the dealer is charging you $200 extra for that but it's not very surprising.

If you are taking your car to the dealer than most definitely you should have gotten Audi care.

Excuse me while I remove the **** probe...

Wow, was the estimate off. $540, a chip in my paint (down to the metal!) in my fender, and a replacement part on backorder from Germany later and I have my baby back!!!
