Totally depends on your dealership
Roger Beasly Audi in Austin, TX is outstanding, A4 and A6 loaners, quick appointments and prompt service.
The few problems I had with my A6 were taken care off immediately and all resolved with one visit.

the problem is, the car shouldn't have to visit the dealership that often...
and Audi service is the suxor. The techs seem to be the source of the problem in my opinion.
You have good service managers and advisors, and techs that don't repair correctly or damage the cars. This ultimately reflects on management and the dealership.

service is dealer by dealer.
just like every mcdonalds isnt going to have the same service each dealer has different people working in the service area.
