Seriously, though, the red looks more like a Crimson to me than a bright Audi red. Just don't do light text on a dark background. Those color schemes leave imprints on teh back of my retinas.

Actually, my biggest complaint is with the menus.
I've used dynamic HTML (I think that's what that is) in the past and have been less than impressed with the results and "feel" of the links. I'd prefer something "clicky" rather than the floaty nature of the new menu.

Red/Silver is classy. Go for it!
Overall I like the improvements and PLEASE keep the current custom forum format. I think it works great and is much eaasier to use than the generic PHP BBS software. The only thing I might ask for is a more intuitive search interface. I know all the info is there, it's just sometimes difficult to form the correct search string to find what is needed.
