Hi everyone, i have C6 2006 avant and my wife managed to hit shark fin antenna with the door!!!??? She drived into garage and did not noticed that falling down door was allready closing and hit the antenna, only women can i suppose)) The antenna itself is not broken, everithing works, it is only bended a bit, front side is off the roof abt 2-3mm and i can see the bolt inside. But how to remove it? Do i have to take off all the sealing from inside or does the antennas plastic cover pop off somehow, or should i just go to dealershop?

I think it is plastic shell. i would not mess with removing the inside headliner.
You can use a hair dryer on the bent piece and straighten it out.
I did that on the bumper cover.
I assuming this is a plastic shell.

Thank you - Is that the correct Shark Fin part# for my 2005 A6 4.2 with Nav & Sirius? My sirius keep cutting out with "Linking". I already resent the Sirius Signal, checked and reseated antenna connections at the tuner. I am going to inspect the antenna for corrosion but I am hesitant about partially bring the headliner down. Does anyone have instructions with pics or a video? If I find there is no corrosion or visible damage to the electronics in the antenna I was thinking about replacing the tuner with a new XM ($85 on Ebay) after reading in various Audi forums that the XM tuner has stronger reception (true or BS?). FYI: I am on the North Shore of Long Island NY with dense trees. Any help is appreciated. I love the car but the Sirius cut-outs are really aggravating.

Bballfreak; the module is located right under the tool kit and jack, easy to replace and i learned a few extra steps needed to reprogram it.
Ok, after reading the wiki on Ross Tech, i came across the solution. The yellow parking park warning light is gone. Maybe now I will finally learn to read and nor skim over material....lmao. I will say this, the money spent on the Vag tool has paid itself 100 folds over. When replacing this Control Module it is necessary to perform the Basic Settings Function Test (MVB 010) and Longitudinal Acceleration Sensor (MVB 020) first. This sets a Readiness Bit for each of the Basic Settings, Coding will not be accepted without having done this first! The go to group 07 and program these values:

did you ever get a decent retrofit accomplished?
it is not a direct fit for the 2005 or 2006 c6
i think audi went to the smaller antenna in 2007 but im not sure exact year
the 2005 2006 roof has 2 holes... one for the wiring and one for the main securing screw Torx 25
these new ones are secured differently
this only shows 2 wire leads and the 05 06 C6 has 3 or maybe 4 leads.. 1 for GPS....1 for Sat Radio... 1 for heat and 1 i believe for AM FM if thats not handled by the back window
the colors will make u crazy
Blue wire should be GPS
RED (sometimes Pink) cell/gsm/telematics
Brown/Green/White/Black should be SAT
Tan i believe Heat
i may experiment with a retrofit so if bballfreak backs out let me know bc i am interested depending on the price
