Default Same APR Fitment Issue as Original Poster

fellas I was waiting for someone to start this thread. I got all the screws but one to go...tried several times. I also thought the fitment of the top piece wasn't great and for the price it should be perfect. Also on the backside of the intake pipe on there is a fitting for a hose. On the stock pipe the fitting was solid plastic that the hose fit on perfect. On the APR/Carbonio it's a soft rubber piece that the hose doesn't seem to stay on very well; plus with nothing to push against it's tough to get on all the way. I ended up putting a tiny hose clamp on that to keep it on. Perhaps I should try rotating the pipe back a little to take some of the pull of that hose? Anyway, bottom line, fitment was "ok" but certainly not worth the price. It does look nice however and sounds good too. I'll keep looking at this thread to see if APR helps you out.

I will say that APR did reply to my email rather quickly so I'll give them that. They suggested re-stalling the intake. Although I'm not really looking forward to that I'm going to give it a try & we'll see how that goes.

APR's customer service is top-notch.

I wish I could say the same about they're intake.
I re-installed the intake yesterday per APRs suggestion & made sure all the pieces were lined up properly & had a nice snug fit. But when I go to screw in the bolts 2 of them don't line up properly & the 3rd (while it sits properly) it doesn't reach the threads of the air box & those doesn't screw into the base.

I had been considering this as my first "performance" modification to my car, but after reading these messages, I'll wait until APR figures out what's going wrong and fixes it.

Well APR emailed me back & said it's most likely a bad batch from the mold. They plan on shipping me out a replacement so we'll have to see what happens next.
So despite the bad part I got, APR has been on top of their customer service so I'm willing to over look 1 bad part. (not sure that's proper English or not but the coffee hasn't kicked in yet so I'm basically worthless atm)

I'll post an update once I get the new lid from APR.
