sudden rpm jumps on long rides
So i recently bought an 06 a4 2.0l a few months ago. And it has driven great aro under town, but on longer drives i will be cruising at 65mph and it will suddenly jump from 1900 rpms to 3000 rpms then go back down. And I was driving yesterday and it did it twice in a row when I was going 50 mph. Seems like its slipping out of gear or something. Is this a transmission problem? Or what might be causing this? How urgent is it that I get it checked out? Thanks a ton for any help.
