Snub mount
2000 A4 Quattro..I am replacing the timing belt etc, and am wondering about the snub mount. Is it supposed to fit tightly into the support? I seem to have space around mine. Is there an insert that goes along with the mount? Thanks 2.8 30v engine

I would not call it "tight", but as I recall the OEM mount is pretty soft. There is no insert that goes around it. You might consider a harder compound from the aftermarket, especially if you have a manual transmission.

Thanks..The mount looks good, but I was just wondering about the fitment.

As it's 2000 model and therefore 13 years old I'd change it .
Got mine changed mine a year ago when the front was off for cambelt etc etc and used a RS4 version - factory stock but stiffer - fits straight in. Probably special order for you guys but here in the UK they are often in stock - 48 hours delivery is plenty!
