What is the longest length bolt we can use w/o damaging hub?
Assuming that my stock wheel bolt is 28mm (B8 S5), would a 34mm bolt be safe to use and not damage the internals of the hub? This is for the front axle only... so no E-brake.
I know this may belong in a B8 forum, but there's higher volume of people here, and I'm assuming their hub builds haven't really changed.
Much thanks in advance.

It's not that you'll damage the hub, but the bolt will hit the upright, which is just behind the hub. Keep tightening after it hits that, and you can potentially cause other damages.
There's typically a 1-2mm tolerance in length behind the hub. 34mm will almost certainly be too long.

What about going to wheel studs. That way you could get longer, and Mike can sell them to you.
