on the track and that really blows my mind.
I have done many track days and you need a combination of HP and handling and I'm sorry but regardless of weight, a Stage 3 S4 with over 400 hp along with Stasis Motorsports or Penske coilovers and some Alcon Brakes (basically Aman's car) would eat ANY mini new or old through every section of a world class track (something like Mosport...).
Turbohater, get a ride in a tuned Stage 3 B5 S4 and then come back here to talk. Any catching up a mini might do in the twisties will be completely forgotten when the S4 blows by. I will admit that in stock form it would be impossible but with good suspension and brakes, the weight difference would be lessened. Add on the extra 150 hp and the game is over.
Actually, I would predict a good driver can go a lap up after only 10 laps.
Turbohater, I'm sure you will disagree (as you ALWAYS do).
That is all.<ul><li><a href="https://forums.audiworld.com/canada/msgs/97814.phtml">https://forums.audiworld.com/canada/msgs/97814.phtml</a</li></ul>

He'd probably argue because there are many straights. He's probably talking about auto-x
which regardless, wouldn't touch a properly set up stage 3 S4. Yea the new mini is pretty light, but it's no featherweight either! I think they're about the same as a 240SX/Silvia - except those could keep up with Stage 3's with a SR20DET. Mini stock against well set up St. 3 S4? Uhhhh...keep dreaming...

I'm neck 'n neck w/a modded MiniS in our Autocross club in a B5 A4
He's got Pulley/Chip, LSD and running on Khumho v710's. My A4 has APR Chip, Springs, Shocks, Sways, and Falken Azenis RT-615 STREET TIRES! If this guy thinks a Mini can hang w/a STg3 S4..he's certainly on his way to the loony bin

Yup! Now throw a chip on the S4 and it'll be in the 8 minute range.
