Default Got it finished earlier tonight!!

I ended up building up wood shims underneath the strut mount to get some extra down force on the strut. Then I jacked the car up, gave the tire a nice kick downward and it popped right out. I think I spent at least 3 or 4 hours total trying to free that side up...

I felt a lot better about life when it was all done and I changed my oil in 5 minutes, at least that was quick and easy!! Now it's time for the rears.

That's a good technique. Those inserts can get rusted in if the boot leaks it seems.

AZ100 almost had to do that too...he did a McGyver though and got it...

I think the tool is around $50 on Ebay. I rented mine from an AudiWorld guy for $25.
