Default Nice purchases...

<img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/34957/header1.jpg">

The tube-o-snakes headers went into my car without a hitch. I took the opportunity to replace my leaking valve cover gasket cause I had to take the IM off to get the EM in place. I would suggest getting a gasket kit and replacing the IM EM and VC gaskets, if you order the kit, you get all geskets for a top end rebuild including the head gasket which you might need some day. I also had to take the down pipe off of the headers to get it past the engine mounts and axle etc...that are in your way, but I couldn't find a replacement gasket for that connection anywhere, so mine is metal on metal right now...but it doesn't leak too badly. Also, these have a provision for the O2 in the collector, so I bought a high-flow cat without an O2 bung to replace my cat. I had to weld it in, but it seemed like the right thing to do since I now have a header that flows nice, and past the DP everything is 2.5" and stebro cat back.

stock bar vs. 4kq bar

I also did the 26mm 4kq front swaybar mod, but took it out in interest of inventing some new end links, since the end of my stock bar has horizontal mounting holes, and the 4kq bar has vertical mounting holes, but while it was on the car it made a HUGE difference from my stock 14mm bar.

Good luck with these upgrades! Let us know how they go.

Default Re: Nice purchases...

If you use the 4kQ front control arms (a-arms, remove very easily, 17mmbox end, 17mm socket is all that is needed..) this fixes the hole problem. Good to hear the headers went in without a hitch, Ive heard horror stories of having to remove the cylinder head... I have to do my valve cover gasket anyways (one of the spark plug holes leak oil down around the spark plug).. so that was on the list. Ill probably take pics of the installs of both for people to see whats all involved.
