Default I would be curious to see a pic of your whip antenna, my 01 whip bolted from underneath.

It had a big nut with an attached washer with a slot in it for wire.

interesting. that's what I assumed...but my avant was prewired for a cell antenna in the whip.

sure..anything attached to a RS6 will look better. I think the sub fin look better on the avant.

It's a judgement call, but I agree with you on sub on avant thing.

Default XLNT Ted!! BTW - AM reception w/ Sub antenna...

Ben said that he has a way to get AM to work on the submarine antenna being installed on my AR (with your harness). It sounded easy to hook up through the diversity antenna.

Cheers,

Michael

Default AM reception

Any instructions on how to re-wire the AM whip antenna to the window antennas so I don't lose AM reception? I'm looking at doing much the same on an 2005 Allroad but really need to maintain AM reception for one of the main sports channels we have here. I can source a genuine submarine or shark fin antenna easily for the GPS function (retrofitted an RSN-E) but will replace the under dash GPS antenna with the roof mounted submarine/shark fin one if someone can assist with maintaining the AM reception by hooking into the rear window antennas.
