new to the s4 world (whys my eng vibrating)
#11
I have owned My S4 for 8 years now and I have had my share of problems... Does the Car Vibrate when you are idling or do you have to be moving to experience this?
If it is vibrating when you are at idle you can just look at the engoine and see if you have excessive movement? If you have to be moving then it might could be Wheels, tires suspension???
Also Is it Speed related.

Genduso, awhile back I read a post (on another european car forum) with a gent whom experienced the same type of symptoms. Turn out to be the fly wheel was the culprit. Let us know what you find out.

Yeah its seems to be the flywheel from what ive been hearing. sucks. I have a used flywheel here at work from a 04 b6 s4. Seems in good shape. Any problems fitting in my B7?

ok now the vibration happens all the time now. when u press on the clutch u can hear the flywheel making noise. Sucks. Bought new luk flywheel & clutch kit from parts geek. $840 w/ free shiping. not to bad.
Now i have to figure why my clutch pedal in my gti is all the way to the floor. Got to drive it for a bit now. hoping a bleed will fix.

B6 flywheel install on B7 - is ok. See here;

Gti - Check the master slave cylinder container for loss of fluid or like you said a bleed could do the trick (there may be air in system). Hopefully you will not have to replace the master slave cylinder.
