Default Audi enters the premium compact class of SUVs with the sporty and versatile new 2015

The new 2015 Audi Q3 will arrive in the U.S. in the Fall of 2014 and will join the already successful lineup of Audi SUVs that includes the Q5 and Q7. It will make its U.S. debut at the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in Detroit on January 13th. The Q3 is a premium, compact SUV that pairs coupe-like looks with the utility of a SUV. Its quality engineering and advanced features offer ideal performance and functionality, but also advanced technology and driving dynamics.

For the same reasons as they don't on the A3 - The quattro system eats into the fuel economy "too much" according to what we've been told by Audi, and hurts the "bragging" power of the TDI.

I really hope that the 207 tq ratings and "Tiptronic" are misprints. This would be a total sell for me with the newer 240tq and S-Tronic.

I was at the Montreal Auto Show yesterday and it just awsome! Preorder would be in about three months. No price was announced but the rep is talking about CDN$37,000 as starting price, which is great. The problem will be probably the expensives options.

All literature I have seen so far indicates that the gear box will not be the beloved S-Tronic (DSG), but the Tiptronic coupled to the 200hp motor.

That together with the fact that the car is not based on the new platform that is in the new A3 makes this a huge disappointment. Even the VW Tiguan this car is largely based on sports the DSG gear box and the same motor.

On the other hand again, what else is there to buy? Surely not the X1, or the plethora of smaller sized CUV's - hopped-up hatch-backs. I wonder when the next model Q3 will make its appearance. She should be due for a refresh by now considering that the car was first released in 2011 in other markets.

We will just have to wait and see when she is actually available in the fall.
