If you option B&O, you get midrange speakers in the dash. While they've done their best to try to minimize bouncing all of that sound off the windshield, most music comes off as way too front-focused. I wind up having to set the fader biased significantly toward the rear of the car to not have the front stage sound too bright.

In the standard audio system, the tweeters are in the dash, the sail panels in the door are empty (even though they are mesh) and the midrange/midbass speakers are a combined unit in the door. An arguably better arrangement of the speakers than what the B&O system offers.

I'm more concerned with the frickin huge elephant ear mirrors that block my vision when turning. lol I'm afraid I'm gonna run over a curb or a small child or something.

Really? haha I don't find them THAT huge! If anything, the side pillar on driver side makes it more difficult to check my blind spot... find it easy enough to see on the passenger side

This must be an issue. I looked at the 2014 q5 and the mirrors are smaller . has anyone found a replacement part for the too big side view mirrors?

I'm guessing you've never owned an SUV before. The mirrors are larger than what you will find on a standard sedan, but about average for an SUV.

"has anyone found a replacement part for the too big side view mirrors? "

Yah, it is called "Ein Chevrolet!"

One kit replaces both mirrors, also fixes the interior tunnel vision.

They are Dumbo Huge, but they sure work well. I'm keeping mine.
