Default Collector Insurance ?

I was wondering if anyone knows of an outfit which will insure my 4kq. Spoke to the company insuring my musclecar and they said they don't do any policies for any Audi.

I have a policy for my '82 Coupe with JC Taylor. It was very easy to do. You do need to be able to store your "collector" inside. One nice deal with Taylor is that they don't have any mileage restrictions. But you must be using the car only for shows, or attendence at car club events. You can drive it to the mechanic or for routine road miles, but it cannot be your daily driver. Costs me about $100/yr. Coverages vary, but they are not significantly as high as you would need for a daily driver. Take a look at their website for details.
Cheers!

I have a porsche 914 that is on a classic policy with haggarty (sp?). They said they would be happy to insure my 87gt once restoration is complete. If I remember correctly, they would not a policy for under 3500.00 declared value however. just as infi, my 914 is insured for agreed upon value of 85..00 and my premium is 153.00 per year that includes flatbed towing

Default Haggarty?

By declared you mean, what you've invested into the car as in not necessarily maintnence, but in custom work or aftermarket parts, etc. Right?
Obviously for book value they wouldn't! I took a quick look at haggarty, but I don't need it yet. Once my coupe is all done (this year) I plan to get some type of issurance. I'll do some more research prior, but I most-likely will try haggarty 1st.

Default American Collectors Insurance

I use American Collectors Insurance on a 1977 Fiat 124 Spider which I use only in the summers. I found them the cheapest for low value vehicles. I pay $50/yr. with a stated value of $3500 and zero deductable. That includes $300,000 single limit liability. Driving limit is stated as 2500 miles per year.

I frankly bought it because I wanted the cheap liability cover. Full coverage of the car was a nice added benefit. At $50/yr. how can you go wrong? It is even cheaper if you have multiple cars/bikes.

Antiques are 25+ years old. I believe they will also insure specialist cars 15+ years old though the premiums are slightly higher.

No trouble dealing with them in writing the policy. I believe they are strict on who can drive. They want to see 10 years experience and good record if I remember correctly. I've never had to make a claim.

I believe they will also insure projects under restoration (so stated value without any liability cover).
