Default Looking to buy an 07 S4

I'm not to familiar with Audi but I love the idea of owning an AWD v8 s4 6spd. I come from the ls1 rx7 world. I started with an FC with an ls1 and now Im in the process of finishing an FD. In the mean time my wife and I had a baby boy so now Im looking for a fun 4door I can take my boy along in. Pretty much I've narrowed it down to an 08 sti wagon, an 04-06 ctsv or a 05-07 S4 v8.

The over all build quality of the S4 is probably superior to the other two but I already am familiar with everything LS1 and Ive had a wrx in the past so I know what they are all about.

What things should I look out for when buying an S4. Are there problems I should be aware of with these. Im use to practically raping the LS1 everytime I drive it with no problems other then an oil change. Id like the same reliability in a newer car.

Any advice or insight would be great and pointing me to any cars for sale that may not be on this forum would be awesome too. I have no problems traveling Ive been as far as 7 hrs away to get a car but I could also fly if its the right car.

Is this something a dealership would do as routine maintaince on these or just something to look out for. Also how high mileage are we talknig about. I see where the Chains are in the back of the motor and it has to be removed to change them. I guess the 5k must be from labor because the parts can't be that much.

Sorry for delay in response but around 100k miles and yeah they have to pull apart the motor is why so expensive It's like 2000$ for the parts. Most people who have these cars change them around 100k just to be safe. When you do look at at s4 listen to the start up if you hear the chain rattle your prob going to want to change tensionsers when you get it.
