Extended Warranty on a A4
Don't waste your money!!
I got one for my 04-A4 that has about 100000 miles and kicking strong.
They cover just about nothing.
They cover things that won't really go wrong. They will cover my cooling fan motors, but not the fan modular unit that also controls the A/C....... what a waste of money.... Coolant hose and flange on rear of engine, nope, we don't cover it.. lol
Be ware if you are thinking on getting a plan... shop it good.

Most aftermarket extended waranties are useless anyway. They cover evwrything you said they do, essentially nothing. Better having an extended warranty on the air in the tires!!

Mostly depends on the coverage level you get and the shop opening the claim
get platinum coverage and good shop to work with them.
The dealer won't waste time on the phone and very easily tell you is not covered leaving you on your own to deal with them
most independent shops are not large, specialize and experienced enough to deal with them, having all the factory information and knowledge makes it quite easy to explaining reason of failures and relation to covered components and their adjusters can't intimidate you with technical stuff when you have the upper hand.
