2003 A4 with Symphony II

I just installed the Blitzsafe Type III adapter (tested the adapter successfully before continuing) with the HK Drive + Play. The Drive + Play is working intermittently - I get a connection to the Ipod (Ipod screen shows Ok to disconnect with the check mark) but when I press play on the Drive + Play, the splash screen comes on, then the display unit turns off. If I disconnect the Ipod, set the Ipod to play a song, and then reconnect, I get a blip of the music, and then nothing (until I press Play on Drive + Play in which case I get the splash screen and then nothing).

I did get it working once by fiddling around, but then disconnected everything and reconnected, but this problem reoccurs.

Anyone experience and solve this, or have any ideas?

It is outside my experience. Try another iPod for test, too.

Works fine directly connected to the Blitz, and same problem with another Ipod. Guess I'll have to call HK tech support unless some one else has an idea.
