94' 100CS Starter Help....
Greetings,
My starter in my 94' 100CS on-quattro is dead. I had a shop look at it and told me that the starter is bad and I need a new one. They told me that the work is a lot of labor and it's going to cost me around $900 dollars, which is costing more than the car itself. I am living on a student budget, so I am thinking of doing the work myself. Before I tackle this work, I would like to know if something I can do myself.
Does anyone know how difficult to replace a starter in a 94' 100CS?
Any link to any website or procedures would greatly be appreciate it.
Have a great day!!
Jay

Ive just changed one and I hate it.
But you can do it.
Its hidden, behind the alternator and you will have to remove the passenger side engine mount.
I will try to find the write-up for you later
