So maybe that's part of the problem why the front is not raising, not sure....

Do you know which module is responsible for the CAR feature ? might just be a software issue...
That seams to be separate problem. Probably just dead switch. To access it take the ashtray insert out, unscrew one bolt and take out whole ashtray, unscrew two bolts underneath it and pull up whole piece with MMI controls and cup holder. Be careful with wires. I am not sure if you can do anything with that switch since it is all integrated, but it might be possible to actuate Car mode by bypassing the switch.

Back to the VCDS scan. It would indicate a leak in the system if it is present.

Do you have the MMI Panel removal on your site? that maybe a good one to add if you don't.

Default I don't have it because I didn't have to remove it yet.

Someone should document how to remove and replace the new one.

Cheers,

Louis

This may sound stupid but when I replaced my MMI control module the CAR button stopped working. Then one day while driving I held it down for about 5 minutes and suddenly it came up and has been ok since.

I can. I actually have mine taken apart now (making sure my previously plugged sunroof drains are clear before reassembly).
