2001 Audi Quattro 2.7t.....When I start car and put in gear I can feel the trans go into gear, but it barely moves when given gas....I removed the tcm and it goes into reverse perfect and it drives forward, but it is in limp mode so I only have 3rd gear.....just ordered a vag-com which will be here Friday.....thinking about changing trans fluid and filter.....any ideas? Car is in immaculate shape!

Well your going to just have to wait and see what the codes are. Could be bad tcu from water damage, its common on these cars. Or as simple as Range switch out of adjustment or other faults. Or it could be the trans is junk and it slips in first and goes directly to Limp mode when it sees input but not the correct output.
