our batteries gave out early on Sunday - no vids of the A3

2nd, Sunday afternoon I kept getting change battery pack messages and the camera shutting down

I suspect it was more due to the cold than usage. Was fully charged before I left home on Friday to go to Steamboat Springs (but I didn't bring the charger with me to charge on Sat night).
