I'm not sure if these would be brighter yet but they are certainly cheaper.

Amazon.com: Led Maximum 2pcs Amber white 57-SMD 3156 LED Bulbs for Turn Signal / Parking Lights #57: Car Electronics Amazon.com: Led Maximum 2pcs Amber white 57-SMD 3156 LED Bulbs for Turn Signal / Parking Lights #57: Car Electronics

They also look like they would be easier to modify to fit and might not require soldering anything.

Those look similar to mine. Shouldn't be that difficult if you can separate it from the base, those pins look long enough to fit through the OEM base.

According to a random website I found, 5050 smd's are ~15 lumens and the 3156 smd's are ~5 lumens. Making the ones from amazon a total of 285 vs 270 for the iJDM ones. Not that much really... but factor in the price I don't think they're that bad of a deal. Might give them a try.

There is a inexpensive place to buy led lights without taking anything apart.

None of those fit our OEM turn signal harness, they have to be modified to fit our base like I did earlier. The only site I know of is a Japanese site that sells them for $250/pair...not worth it

Those LED's from that link also do not include anything for resistance, so you'll need resistors.

How do you get the bulb out of the headlight? Is it possible without removing the headlight or the bumper? Keep reading conflicting views on random different forums.

Quick, someone make kits of these! I'd buy one in a heart beat - been seeking for an easy way to get this mod.

I just finished mine today. I wouldn't mind making some depending on what people would be willing to pay. Took me a fair bit of time to get it right and solid in there.
