I just pulled the codes thru vag-com, there are no codes related to the automatic transmission;

I'm a complete noob with this (i just got the scanner about an hour ago) but when i select the Auto Trans, vcds gives me an error:

Protocol Keyword: $F18A

I'll get back to you with any other codes related to my original post

I was able to figure out vcds, the transmission wasnt throwing any fault codes; majority of the fault codes are from the HVAC

Would the TCU detect low ATF and throw a fault code?

Nope. It assumes all mechanicals and fluids are fine.
