Default Driver's Door Ajar

I cant seem to figure this one out. My drivers door indicator is ajar...even though it is closed perfectly...sensor "dings', interior lights stay on...I checked all the fuses, unplugged the double black plug under the driver's seat, even disconnected the battery for 10 min...and it still shows that the driver's side door is ajar!?!?!?

Any help at this point would be much appreciated...

thanks

Thanks for the replies...I realize that the switch is in the latch itself...Im thinkin that when the door closes, the latch is not springing back up...It releases when I have the door open, but when I close the door, it shows like its open...
