Default Front Speaker Static

New guy here. Today I noticed a static sound coming from the front speakers. It sounded like the speakers were blown, except it was only when I listened to satellite radio. It didn't do it when using bluetooth from my phone, or when I listened to terrestrial radio. I was just wondering if anyone has ever had this happen? If it matters, it's the standard system in a 2013.

YES! I get this with my left front speaker (tweeter) and also rear passenger side on occasion. Yes, it sounds crackly like it's blown but then just goes away. Usually on a high vocal. I thought it was just my setup since I replaced the stock AMP. I also have the standard system. Be interested to see if any other chime in.

I have noticed a similar sound from the front speaker and it appears to be bad. I hear it while dialing out using bluetooth but it goes away when the call connects. In other words only during the ringing phase of the phone call. I have also noticed it during some radio broadcasts usually a talk radio am station never while listening to music on xm etc.

Is this Bose or standard audio system? I notice my Bose once you get past mid-way sound like the mid to upper range drivers on these speakers sounds like it is distorted.

Standard system, and on all volumes. It's not doing it now, just on the way home from work the other day.

Same here. Standard. Could be same song, same volume and sometimes it's staticy and sometimes not.

I also hear this with my B&O system. Dealer said it was the quality of the music. I put in a DVD and it was almost non-existent at the same sound level but I would occasionally catch it still.

I bought the car used so my initial thought was I had a blown/bad speaker.

The fact that you hear it sometimes and not others could also point to a speaker cover rattling. Notice how this is being reported more as the temps drop (causing plastic items to shrink). I had this exact same thing happen in my old 2009 Acura MDX with the front center speaker. The noise sounded exactly like a blown speaker. I took it to the dealer and they replaced the speaker. Noise came back on certain sounds so I pushed down on the speak cover (plastic) and the noise went away. I took it back to the dealer and they installed some thin felt/padding material under the speaker cover and the sound was gone for good. Just a thought to try pushing down on the speaker covers to see if it goes away.
