I think I will order it from german auto parts.

Make sure it is OEM - the aftermarket ones are crap.

oem are black and aftermarket are white right?

Default I keep a spare in the car even with an OEM switch installed. :)

So I suppose one should order two if they plan on replacing one - provided they aren't $77 dollars each!

oem has 4 rings on it...also Audi dealer in Ottawa Canada sells them for ~45$ Canadian.

Default Dont do it, spend the extra money and get the genuine

Here's a link to the C4 / UrS forum where ignition switches are a common topic.

Trust me I just swapped one.
