Well........ I didn't include this: The bottom two don't line up right. So even after I repaired /
replaced the clips, the holes don't line up with the holes in my license plate. I don't know what the deal is with that... whether Audi / car manufacturers just want you to use the top two, or if they just f-ed up the measurements. I awkwardly angled the bolt into the nut, then used some threadlocker to hold it in place. Mostly I just didn't want the plate and Audi Sport license plate cover banging around, so this at least hold it taught against the car... but it's not supporting any weight... the top two are the most solid.
Double check the alignment before you take on the project. It could be that the clips are broken/missing, or it could be that the alignment is just all wrong.

FYI: I was able to reuse all my nuts/clips, so I'm not sure if you can buy them separately from the
dealer, or if they only come when you buy the whole bracket. I would guess you can buy them separately.

Yeah, it was actually the rattling of the loose nuts that was the biggest proponent to doing the fix
Get your brake issue fixed? Saw you had some trouble with parts.

No. Some were 2002s. :p .... my point was that there is the potential that the latch came with the
MY update between 2001 and 2001.5 (assuming he has a 2000 or 2001 sedan and not a 2001.5 or 2002 sedan). The majority of MY changes occurred during that change, so maybe that's the issue.
My money, though, is on the fact that he has a trunk and I have door.
