got the passenger side out, but now i cant wiggle the driver's side out because its blocked. arg

Remove oil filter, remove tension from the accessory belt and remove that. Then...
remove the three bolts on the a/c compressor(?). That will give you enough room to remove the inlet pipe and get to the motor mount. I just did mine Sunday night; not something I'd like to do again.

i got the inlet pipe out without dropping the compressor
too bad i'm still going to have to drop it because i dont have enough room to wiggle out the motor mount. ARG

If its already loose, remove the bracket that attaches to the subframe?
you may only have to loosen it some. I can't imagine how you got the inlet pipe off without taking out the compressor, it only took a few minutes to do and was much easier than wrestling the inlet pipe out with it in.
