Anyone have a remote start installed on their S6? Any possible issues? With this frigid winter I'm contemplating one. Would be nice to have the car warm after leaving work.

I have no idea how that would even work with the advanced key. Maybe someone else could chime in. Obviously you know it takes away a lot of the security of the car.

Not too worried about security where I work (car would still be locked), which is the only place I'd use it. Was wondering about the advanced key and if it's even possible. Now that a lot of other cars have similar keys, may not be an issue.

Yes, its possible. You need to buy another key from parts($300) and have it coded in the service department($). That key now needs to be buried somewhere in the car in order for it to be able to be remote started.

Asked my dealer today and they said it's "not available." However, my dealer seems lazy/unknowledgable at times when it comes to anything that's not by the book (tunes, lowering car, etc). Might be time to try a different dealer.

HyperS4, do you have specific parts numbers or any more info on doing this? I see youtube videos of people with remote starts on C7s. I could go the aftermarket route but don't want someone screwing up my advnaced key and normal features.

Dealerships wont do this. You have to go aftermarket to have it done. The only part you need is an extra key from parts. Otherwise its whatever remote start system you purchase that needed.
