Valentine One installed, hardwiring is easy

Thank you Sir!
I did it on my RS4...not A3..yes there was plenty of room to hide the electronics in the fuse box..there's like a hole open compartment above the fuse panel. As far as hiding the cord...I did just like he did in the pics and just tucked the cord along the windshield and down the a pillar using like a plastic butter knife LOL the only part that was hard to tuck in was in the middle of the A pillar..its like there's a screw or something that blocks you from sliding the cord under that panel. I just left the cord out at that part until I can figure out how to hide the cord right there (1 inch length of cord) But other than that..you can't see the cord at all anywhere else. Pretty simple process. Only thing that was hard was figuring out how to tap into vehicle power, but using that ATM adapter I bought at Autozone for like $5.00 it made everything work fine.

Whoa!!! That's crazy!! He cut the mirror in order to do that??? Looks good though..I don't think I wanna cut my RS4 mirror though! That mirror alone is like $1000 bucks!!

I think the OP did a neat job which required quite a bit of hard work and talent. That said, I'm not motivated to go to the trouble myself. It's easy enough for me to see the display on the V-1 units hanging on the w/s near the RV mirror.

Yeah I see that..but he had to cut the black part out of the mirror and I looked at his forum for the whole job..yeah i'm not trying to do that much damage to my car..looks cool tho..I agree I'll just keep looking at the V1 on the windshield... its nice and tight up against the headliner anyway..

If I could run a V1 (which I can't) I would totally embed it in the mirror.
