anyone ever consider embedding the alert lights in the rear view mirror? A B7 S4 owner I know did this. Pretty incredible.

Whoa!!! That's crazy!! He cut the mirror in order to do that??? Looks good though..I don't think I wanna cut my RS4 mirror though! That mirror alone is like $1000 bucks!!

the mirror isn't cut. Its behind the mirror, and it glows through the mirror glass.

I think the OP did a neat job which required quite a bit of hard work and talent. That said, I'm not motivated to go to the trouble myself. It's easy enough for me to see the display on the V-1 units hanging on the w/s near the RV mirror.

Yeah I see that..but he had to cut the black part out of the mirror and I looked at his forum for the whole job..yeah i'm not trying to do that much damage to my car..looks cool tho..I agree I'll just keep looking at the V1 on the windshield... its nice and tight up against the headliner anyway..

I see what you mean.

If I could run a V1 (which I can't) I would totally embed it in the mirror.
