Default 2001 Allroad paint code location?

Hello all, did a few searches of the site, and have not found what I need to know. So I'll just ask since I'm new to Audi at this point.

I have a 2001 Allroad vin WAUYP64B91N165947 and am trying to determine if I have silver paint or grey paint. It is darker than my silver passat wagon but still looks like it could be silver or grey…. need to buy a fender with the right color paint the first time around.

thanks in advance for your help

Check for a sticker in the spare tire well. Will have a paint code if sticker is there.

Then check this site to see if the color looks like yours: http://www.paintscratch.com/

You will see two different codes. Be careful, one is for the roof. Also if you are replacing the fender flare too, these are color specific and the color is not painted on. For example, If it looks greenish or grey, the plastic was made green or grey from factory. A few rare Allroads have body color flare thou.

Ok thanks guys. I found the tag with just a little moldy blemish, but readable. LY7Q/LV7W. The body is atlas grey, the roof is dark grey. The front bumper and flares are just black plastic. I am shopping for a nice driver side atlas grey fender for my new audi. I am rather impressed with the car's options. Cool to have rear heated seats and the ski bag option as well. Going to search around for tips on back seat removal just to clean it out and see if there are any treasures

Search no further. Grab the bottom of the seat at the front and yank it upward.
That will unhook it from it's retainers. Then lift out the seat and rummage through to PO's dirt to your heart's content. When done put the seat back in and slam down hard on the top front above the hooks. Bingo.
