Where is that Shell station? Looks familiar. (Of course, most shell stations can look alike).

I thought maybe it was the one in Foxboro on Rt 140. Well, like I wrote, most of them do look alike.

Default Install Update. Fail.

Today I attempted to install my HSW using Clockspring: 4B0951543 & Harness: 4B0971589 but got stuck. I was not able to figure out where the two loose black wires and black connector of the harness connect to. I was thinking that the loose black wires might have to get spliced and connected to the two black wires already on the steering wheel but not sure. Any pointers? Am I missing something that those connects to? 1st pic is my current setup, 2nd pic is the new to be installed setup.

I think you are missing the heating element circuit board...

I want to make the same mod in a few weeks...I will follow your posts to see how to do it...

I think the heating element module is on the bottom of steering wheel already as seen on the 2nd pic. I am starting to realize that maybe the later HSW are a little different than all the online references I am finding. I think the harness I have might be incorrect for the '04 4.2 AR HSW going into my '05 2.7 AR. Can anyone confirm?

Default Is there a way to verify all MHSW P/Ns available for all years & both engines?

I'm stuck on this install and have not made much progress. Can anyone confirm if there is possibly more than one configuration of the MSHW or if I need to make any modifications to the components I have.

Looking at this post it looks like there might be two different HSW configurations. I think I have the Wheel of one config and the harness & clockspring of the other config as seen on the above post. Here is a pic from the post.

I'm sorry if I had lead you astray in any way. I was repeating the information I had found. I was really looking forward to doing this mod myself and am checking back to see progress as I just found a heated wheel tonight. Ever come up with anything? What is your wheel's P/N?
