I believe that Audi 5k, 100, 200 and 1989 to 1994 80/90 sunroofs are the same

if anyone could confirm or provide aditional information that would be appreciated

I think you have it about right for the cars that will work. Basically the early years with a steel sunroof. The part number I think you want is 893877152A and 893877151A. Google those part numbers, 893877151A images and you will see what I think you are looking for. They are pot metal and break easily when the panel binds. There is a difference between RT and LT. If I come across them I will try and grab them for the future. It's below zero here now so I will wait till summer..

No worries Bob, I got on quattro world where I posted and it was suggested to order and I did order these machined stainless steel replacements from ebay. Much better than the original and should last along time. I have thought that the originals were made of the cast aluminum material to prevent breakage of other more expensive parts further down the line but its not my first rodeo with VWAG sunroofs from a variety of different generations so I will keep the various parts lubricated and aligned and be sensitive to mechanical strain, changes in motor pitch etc........

Check row52.com for similar cars in a radius from you, maybe down to Tacoma. Can probably find some parts.
