Allroad 2001 Alignment and control arm questions!! Please Help!!
Hi all,
I am new to the audi allroad world. Just purchased a 2001 Audi Allroad Quattro 2.7T with 95,000 miles.
I need help in determining what I need to do regarding the alignment problem. The car pulls to the right. I was told by my mechanic that I need to change the lower and upper control arms due to the ball joint and bushings wearing out. If I do not do this then they are not able to align the car.
I already changed the front posterior control arm assembly. Now I am told I need to change all the control arms due to the worn/torn bushings.
Should I just change the bushings?? or replace the whole assembly? Also am I being scammed into something I don't need. I did check the bushings and they do need to be changed. What is a good brand to go with MOOG, OEQ, etc?
Also is this a DIY weekend project? I have changed rotors, pads, coilvers, lift kits on past vehicles myself but never done any control arms. Seems like just bolts to deal with?? Am I right?
Thanks for your input and advice in advance.

I wouldn't bother with bushing replacement. I would get new control arms
I went with the inexpensive ones on ebay and so far so good. Replacing the arms can be easy depending on how frozen the upper pinch bolt is.

Thanks everyone for your sharing your knowledge. As I am a student I think I will go with xtreetoes suggestion of getting them cheap on ebay.
Xtreetoes does the ebay control arm kit of 4 arms each side come assembled and ready to install?
Thanks a lot everyone for your help.

The allroad/a6/a4 package comes with 4 arms total, 2 for each side. They don't carry the lowers for an allroad. The arms are fully assembled, you just need to get the old ones out and put the new ones in. Don't forget to set the arm drop and torque properly. The Bentley manual has all the gory details.

Thanks again. Just want to make sure I got the right parts. I'm ordering from the seller "foreigncarpartsonline" they said they can get me the two upper control arms and the one lower anterior control arms for both sides making a total of 6 control arms. Total price is less than 3 bills. Does that sound right?
Thanks again for everyone's help, greatly appreciated!!!!
