Top stopping mid way when going down

I have an 04 Audi A4 and having an issue with the top. When I push the button to put the top down the boot goes up but the top stops in the middle and then will not move either way and the sensor light comes on? Any ideas

well mine get stuck half way when opening, but I learned to "help" and push the top back when it stops then it fully closes once i give it a slight tap.
