B7 brakes
Dear all,
Am about to replace discs and pads all round on 2006 B7 2.0tdi. I'm hoping to get some advice on a couple of matters.
(1)When sourcing new discs I notice that Audi specify three different diameter rotors front and rear. My question is other than by physically measuring the old parts on the car is there any way of establishing the correct size for my particular vehicle? and is it possible/worthwhile to upgrade to larger diameter?
(2)I have read conflicting accounts re necessity of disconnecting bottom damper mount at rear to facilitate removal of caliper cradle to enable removal of rotor. Some advisee that this is unnecessary and new rotor can be "persuaded" past the carrier in situ.
Any advice on these issues would be most welcome
Kind regards
