Default I could put down a gallon of water in an hour. Or beer.

But milk is a different animal. Blech. I wonder if it applies to all types, skim, whole, etc.

Default It's the fat in the milk...I can do it, and often do, with skim.

Default what's a gallon, 128oz? 11 beers... sure, pretty simple. Beer isn't a base, though

Default Possibly, but trying to drink a gallon of anything that's 40° in an hour

would lower your body temp too much.

Re: Why is it not possible to drink a gallon of milk in an hour?

The primary reason it is not possible to drink a gallon of milk in an hour is related to stomach capacity. The capacity of the stomach is about 1
liter (Wardlaw and Insel. Pespectives in Nutrition, third edition, 1996). When stomach capacity is exceeded (whether by milk or any other food), the natural response will be vomiting. The stomach empties into the small intestine at a rate of about 1-3 milliliters per minute. When you figure how long it would take to clear a gallon of fluid from the stomach, it would take almost a day for it to enter the small intestine.

Default true - regardless of fat content. It's the Lactose

your body can't process that much lactic acid in such a short amount of time, so you are pretty much guaranteed to puke before finishing it, or within a few minutes of finishing it.

Actually tested this on a couple of friends of mine and they both turned GREEN after a half gallon or so. Funniest **** I have ever scene.

Default One time I did a mind eraser that was actually a double. I sucked that thing down and about..

1 second later, my stomach said TOO MUCH. I pumped a good amount of my stomach contents right back out into the sink, luckily. Of course this was after drinking many other things. I felt my stomach expand as I was drinking it and knew right away it wasn't good.
