My dealer just told me my 60k tune-up is going to cost $600!! is this an Audi standard?

That's why you don't take it to the dealer :) Find a privately owned Volkswagen garage. Car mechanically the same as a Passat

Yup, that was my point recently - a German car is never going to be cheap to own once it's out of warranty, and if you're not prepared it can be a shock ...

That's what dealer told me for my 90Q also, but I took it to an independant for about $300 or so instead! ;-)

What area are you in? If SF Bay (specifically southbay) I can definitely recommend a local private guy to help maintain your Audi.
