but I believe the A4 uses a film sensor, at least that's what it looked like when I put the air filter in. Anyone know for sure? Anyway, what the sensor does is measure airflow. It is a temperture regulated heater. When more air is flowing over it it takes more power is maintain the temperature, so by measuring the required power you measure the airflow. The resistance of the sensor is also proportional to temperature, so not only is it the heating element, it is also the measuring element.

I'm sure I type on behalf of all those who wanted to be there but couldn't when I say thanks.
The pics were great. I was definately there in spirit - I am already planning to attend next year. (maybe I will be able to show an A4 off-roader by then ;-) Gordon 98.5 2.8QMS |

I would also like to say thanks to Michael and any other people responsible for putting this event together. I was there. It was a blast! I actually won something in the drawing! There's a first time for everything. Test drove my rig with the AutoAuthority chip installed. Great day. Thank you.
