Oh, and from the East either Detroit or Philly. Although I'm not a "homer" I like what Detroit has done with their team. I don't think they can get too far without Ben Wallace though. As for Philly, many people rag on AI because of his shooting percentage. What they don't realize is that he can wear down his defender so much that that player is ineffective on offense. Those extra shots he takes are created by him running circles around the other team and wearing down his defender. It's worth the extra misseed shots.
On a related note, although I think AI is a great player, I don't think he belongs on the US Mens team unless he canplay in a different way. He's not going to be pon the floor the whole game and neither will the person guarding him. that part of his game will be wasted and his extra missed shots will just hurt the team. If he can play a little differently than he does in Philly, yeah he belongs on the US Mens team, but until then, he doesn't. |
