rant warning: LA Superior Courts are suck-@$$...

I was sent to civil claims by the Collection Agency who had continually sent warnings to me for not paying my tickets...now i know why...

one thing i am good at, is paying my tickets when i get them. one specific ticket was a speeding ticket back from last year. it was 136.00, and i quickly sent it in. I got my first warning letter saying I did not pay and they raised it to 246.00 (disclaimer said: Note: if you have already paid this, please ignore this notice)...knowing that I had paid it, I ignored it. Weeks passed, the check hadnt cleared, and I got another warning in the mail, this time raised to 620.00!! (yes, 620.00)...I know it wasnt because of insufficient funds because I had just gotten paid...so I wrote a letter to the courts, including another check for the original amount of 136.00, explaining the situation. The only explanation could be it was lost in the mail...

Next ticket, for no front plate. same day my car was out of the body shop, I get pulled over 3 blocks after I pull out for not having a front plate. grr. besides that, my turbos had blown completely 2 days later and wouldnt run...which would explain me not being able to go to an inspection site to have it written off. I wrote a letter to them explaining this, no response... I got a warning in the mail that my bail was raised from 0.00 (just need inspection)...to 540.00!!!! WTF!!!!! I had to accumulate all my receipts from the car shop regarding this, and now have to go to court despite my letter which i never recieved a letter back from...

Now heres the great part...next ticket was for speeding again

ugghh. hasnt been a good year so far. ANYWAYS, I go to the booth to pay for it...
"whats your name?" "
Brandon ____ _____"
"hmm...whats your license number?"
"_______"
"well, looks like we have a problem here. according to our records, your name is Ekancon Lurry Wicks (is that an actual name???) ... but the license number is still the same. Is this your current address?"
*looks at computer screen* "uhmm no mam, thats way off"
"well, im going to have to schedule you a court date to take care of this..."

WHAT THE HELL is going on down there!?!! each of these tickets havent been responded to because MY NAME AND ADDRESS ARENT CORRECT IN THEIR SYSTEM...and now i have to go to court 3 times next month because of their screw-ups.

Is there a way to bypass the court and deal directly with the head of the department? I have 2 full time jobs right now, there is no way I can afford to not work and waste my time in the courtroom with these jackasses.

Any suggestions?
