Default Could anyone tell me who, besides Borla, makes a cat-back system WITH a downpipe?

Default You also want to get a flex-pipe with the down-pipe (more).

Scorpion, APR, and Stebro come with a down-pipe although I don't know if they come with the flex-pipe. The flex pipe is good because is helps aleviate stress created when the motor moves front and back.

Default Borla has it, as does MTM, and the new APR exhaust.

One note to mention... since the cat on the 1.8 is directly bolted to the turbo, any true cat-back system automatically has a downpipe.

Default You sure about Scorpion having a downpipe?

I could have sworn that it was a "slip-joint" back exhaust.

APR's exhaust doesn't have a flex-joint but does have some sort of slip-joint that provides similar functionality (from what I understand). I think Ed mentioned that the new-improved version of the exhaust that APR is working on now will include a traditional flex-joint like the Borla and stock exhaust have.

Default Thanks. I have a FWD so I'm having a hard time finding one. Borla says theirs is for a 2001 FWD...

and I wonder if it will work on my 98.5.

Default My Scorpion exhaust uses the stock downpipe - it connects after the flex pipe

Default So you're saying it includes a downpipe?

Which bolts directly to the cat-converter?
