Default 195/60/14 'all-season' tire that actually performs in snow?

I was just going to go with another set of Nokian WR's, but they don't offer the 195/60 (and I'm tired of running 185/65/14s...)

All I've ever owned for winter's were Nokia/Nokians.....and I'm not sure I want to give up the confidence...

Default would folks think I'm a nutter running 205/40/17 A/S'???

thought about it... ...but then the 'car wash' dilemma comes up (car wash = rim destroyer)

then the next question is: does anyone make a 40 series all season...that performs as a good performace summer tire???

Default solutions for all your problems....

1) car wash
Find a DIY carwash near you. Garage you pull into, has wand. Bring your california blade.

2) 17s. Well, you could do 16s, or 15s. I have to switch to 17s for winter once I do my brake upgrade. have a couple friends that run 17" NRWs in the winter, work great.

3) Not following ya.. a winter tire that performs like a summer tire? The answer is no, you always have to compromise.. it's just a matter of which way you compromise, eh? Or you could continue down the non-compromise route and have separate winter and summer wheels/tires. just increase the winter wheels size :-D

Default Take a look at etires.com.. don't have to order there, but they have size chart for NRW and WRs

A local nokian dealer may still be able to get the NRWs.. the dealer I have here still can. (Actually planning on ordering some NRWs for my dad, since there's no WR size that fits his car)

Default honestly, are they decent in snow, or should I just go for the NRWs...(we don't see a ton, but...

...it's nice to know you can get somewhere when you want to in the white stuff...)
